Gemma Owen announces huge career move with 'six-figure' PLT deal after Love Island

Love Island’s Gemma Owen is following in Molly-Mae Hague’s footsteps and has signed a deal with PrettyLittleThing that’s said to be worth a whopping six figures.

The reality TV star and daughter of footy ace Michael Owen has become the clothing line’s latest UK brand ambassador.

The brunette, 19, said it was “a dream come true”.

“I wore PrettyLittleThing throughout my time on the show and now being announced as one of their newest ambassadors alongside some incredible talent including Love Island alumni is really special,” she said.

“The team have been amazing and I’m excited to get to work and start designing some collections for you all!”

Gemma has teamed up with PrettyLittleThing

In the year long partnership, Gemma will be launching her own PrettyLittleThing collections as well as helping the brand launch their new resale platform, PLT Marketplace.

It will mean exclusive content across the brand’s YouTube, Instagram and Tik Tok channels.

The firm’s CEO Umar Kamani said: “Gemma is the perfect person to represent the PLT consumer; she’s smart, confident, ambitious and has a much loved, relatable style.

“We’re very excited to have her joining the PLT family and look forward to sharing lots of exciting content, collections and shoots with our customers.”

The star said it was a ‘dream come true’

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Gemma’s deal is worth six figures, putting her on track to become one of Love Island’s big success stories.

The teenager was a hit when she was a contestant on the series this year and came second with Luca Bish, behind winners Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu.

Molly-Mae has made a huge splash since she was one of the singles looking for love on the ITV dating show in 2019.

The blonde, who is still only 23, is a social media influencer and in 2021 she was named as the new creative director of Pretty Little Thing.

At the time it was rumoured that the deal could be worth as much as seven figures.
