OG James ‘Lockie’ Lock looks unrecognisable in the first episode of the 30th series of ITVBe’s hit reality show The Only Way is Essex.
James burst onto the Brentwood scene back in 2013, starring in the show alongside ex girlfriend Danielle Armstrong and close pal Dan Osbourne before becoming a regular and joining the friendship group of Tommy Mallet, Pete Wickes and James ‘Arg’ Argent.
Almost 10 years since his TOWIE debut, fans were left swooning at Lockie’s dramatic transformation as he returned for the show’s latest series.

One fan commented: “Lockie is flamesssss. I can not & will not ever deny it.”
“Lockie is so handsome,” another wrote.
A third added: “Lockie, he is handsome, I need a Lockie.”
Lockie appeared to have been in a gym a lot, with a new ultra-muscular look and an already tanned bod despite only just arriving in The Dominican Republic, where the first two episodes of the series were filmed.
His hair was related to that of an “80s pornstar” by one Twitter user, but following his £6,000 hair transplant in 2018, Lockie’s mousy brunette locks look fuller than ever.
Lockie has a string of high-profile ex-girlfriend’s including TOWIE co-star Yazmin Oukhellou and Love Island bombshell Megan Barton-Hanson, who he met whilst filming MTV reality dating show Celebrity Ex on the Beach.

Lockie confirmed there’s “no animosity” between him and the Love Island babe. He said: “Yeah, listen everything is cool with Megan. Everything happens for a reason and there’s no animosity on my part. It is what it is.”
Lockie features alongside Yaz in the recent TOWIE series and chemistry from their last relationship still seems alive despite the pair insisting they are ‘just friends.’ He was also openly supportive of Yaz after her tragic car accident in Turkey.

Lockie has since declared he plans to put his “Lothario” lifestyle behind him after quitting drinking. In an interview with the Mail Online, he insisted he’s “matured” and no longer wants to be “sidetracked by chasing skirt.”
He claims he’s now on the lookout for “something a bit more.”
