Earlier this year, Sheridan left Starstruck fans gobsmacked after she’d stepped down from her role after just one season.
At the time, the West End starlet explained she’d needed to quit the show after “scheduling conflict” has arose with her acting career.
On the programme’s Instagram page, they announced the exciting news that Shania would be stepping up to the judging table instead – much to the delight of fans.
Giving fans a teaser of what to expect from the new panellist, the hitmaker took part in a video-recorded message from her home across the pond.
She said: “Hi everyone, I’m here in Las Vegas I’m about to get on the stage to do a show, but I wanted to take a quick minute to say that I’m so excited about heading to the UK soon to join [the] ‘Starstruck’ panel’.
ITV’s Head of Entertainment, Katie Rawcliffe said: “Shania is one of the all-time music greats, not to mention a fabulous personality, so it’s an honour to welcome her to the Starstruck panel alongside Adam, Beverley, Jason and of course Olly at the helm.”
Remarkable Entertainment’s Cat Lawson also added: “We are over the moon to welcome music legend, Shania Twain, to our fantastic Starstruck panel.
“She is an absolute trailblazer who has collaborated with everyone from Elton John to Harry Styles.
“Shania will bring so much fun to our Saturday nights we simply cannot wait.”
Television star and former X Factor singer Olly Murs will reprise his role as show host -with everyone setting their sights on huge audience figures again this year.
Previously the programme racked up 4.7million views during season one – making it one of ITV’s most successful Saturday night shows in 2022.
