Married At First Sight UK’s Thomas Hartley branded his new husband a “Clare Balding” lookalike as he walked down the aisle.
During the latest instalment of the Channel 4 dating show, viewers got to meet the other half of the singletons ready to tie the knot to a complete stranger.
And it only took one look before the fireworks kicked off between the mental health worker and his new partner Adrian Sanderson after he compared him to the beloved BBC broadcaster.

While April and George fell instantly in love with each other, the same couldn’t be said for the Liverpudlian couple after the brunette hunk immediately confessed his unattraction to his expertly picked groom.
As he walked down the aisle with his newlywed husband, the TV star confessed to Channel 4 bosses that he “didn’t expect someone blond”, before he compared the digital designer to “Clare Balding.”
When Thomas pitched his ideal man to the relationship experts, he described someone “tall, dark and handsome” who would love him for all of his campness.
Although Adrian isn’t his type, he confessed: “I really thing he’s got a heart of gold, and he’s really nice, he’s been lovely but golden to me.”
But things soon heated up when the grooms sat down for their wedding breakfasts together, where Thomas brought his mother as Adrian brought his close friend Amy.
And it’s fair to say the mental health worker was surprised at Amy’s continuous questioning at the dinner table while his new husband sat quietly between them.
The pair soon locked horns as he accused his friend of “interrogating” him without giving him a chance to talk to his new husband alone.

When the pair finally stole some alone time together, he went on to compare the wounded groom to “H from Steps” referencing once again to his bleached blond hair.
Viewers couldn’t help but point out the similarities between the two after Adrian revealed at the start of the show that he had an enormous crush on Take That star Mark Owen.
He told viewers: “I knew that I was gay from a very young age. I had such a crush on Mark Owen from Take That when I was a kid.”
