Maria Shriver fans said she was “unrecognisable” as she was photographed out for a walk in Los Angeles.
The journalist and author – who was married to Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger for 35 years – is known for her glam red carpet looks.
But people thought she looked very different as she went to a construction site where she is believed to be building a new house.

Maria was clad in leggings and a simple t-shirt, with a slouchy brown bag slung over her shoulder, and had some papers clutched in her hand.
Her long hair was held back from her face in a clip and she didn’t seem to be wearing any makeup in the snaps.

The 66-year-old glammed things up with a huge, stunning ring and wore a simple bracelet on her left wrist.
Smiling at the camera, she looked relaxed and happy as she wandered through Santa Monica.
However, many people thought the star had changed a lot.
One person tweeted that Maria, who is a member of the Kennedy family, looked “noticeably different” in the shots.

“Someone had to Photoshop that photo,” suggested someone else.
“Maria Shriver looks unrecognisable,” said another.
One person simply tweeted: “What??”
Maria and Arnie got together in the 80s after they were introduced to each other at a charity tennis tournament.
They went on to tie the knot in 1986 and they have four children together including Patrick, who is an actor and model, and Katherine, who is married to Chris Pratt.

In 2011, the Hollywood power couple announced that they were calling time on their marriage after 25 years and were going their separate ways.
It was later revealed that several years earlier Arnie had fathered a child with someone who worked for them at their house.
Maria and Arnie’s divorce was finalised last year.
