Little Mix fans gobsmacked as they spot very familiar face on First Dates Hotel

Little Mix fans were left stunned after spotting singer Leigh Anne Pinnock’s mum on Channel 4 dating show First Dates Hotel.

On the latest episode of the popular series, which sees singletons jet off to a luxury resort in Italy, Debbie Pinnock, mum to singer Leigh-Anne, was seen enjoying a date with a charming man named Rob.

Admitting she was hoping to meet “the man of my dreams” on the show, Debbie facetimed her famous daughter for a catch up before meeting her mystery date.

“Are you excited? Gonna find the man of your dreams?” questioned the Shout Out To My Ex singer, as her mum replied: “I hope he is the man of my dreams, can you imagine if he is?”

Debbie – who works as a teacher – didn’t reveal who her famous daughter is straight away, with the revelation coming when she and Rob were getting to know one another better during dinner.

When Rob asked her how old her daughters are, she responded: “They’re 32, 30, and 27. My youngest one, she’s a singer in a girl band, she’s doing really well for herself.”

Rob appeared to look impressed, as Debbie added: “Well she’s only as famous as you know… if you know who she is, as such.”

She then finally revealed her daughter is the one and only Leigh-Anne from Little Mix, as Rob’s eyes widened with shock, telling his date that he of course knew who the musician was.

The mother-of-three opened up about her close relationship with Leigh-Anne during the show, admitting “she’ll always be my baby” and describing her as “a normal girl underneath the fame”.

Debbie explained to stationary salesman Rob: “She doesn’t get the singing voice from me, but I love singing.

“Since she’s been a pop star we’ve had some really good fun, we’ve been on tour and gone to America and it’s been fun.

“I’ll never ever get over being the mum of a pop star, I love it.”

She went on to say that she feels very “lucky” but insists that they are still a normal family.

“We’re so lucky that she’s done so well, but that’s her life and everyone else gets on with their life.

“She is famous, but she’s a normal girl underneath and we’re a normal family.”

Rob didn’t appear to be fazed by the fame, as the pair locked lips during the episode and even appeared to continue their romance on return to the UK.

And eagle-eyed viewers of the show took to Twitter to share their shock at Debbie’s appearance, as one posted: “Omg Leigh-Anne’s mum was on first dates???”
