Many fans were equally as happy to hear that he’d beaten cancer and noted that it may be a sign to get the band back together.

One tweeted that it was “brilliant news,” a happy follower said that they were “buzzing” while another told Liam that they are “so happy”.

One dedicated fan was so moved by the announcement that they admitted they were “sobbing,” while another fan simply branded Bonehead “a legend of the game”.

Bonehead himself also tweeted: “Update on my cancer; I had a full scan 10 days ago and it’s all clear, it’s gone. Thank you so much all of you for the messages I’ve had throughout , you’ve helped more than you know. Thank you especially to the team at The Christie NHS. Into recovery now and see you all soon x”

Many of the musician’s happy followers responded to his tweet and couldn’t believe their eyes.

One wrote that it was “fantastic” and used the hashtag “live forever,” another said it was “the best news” and told him “well done” and someone else admitted they were “over the moon”.

Back in June, Bonehead gave fans an update after he underwent treatment for cancer.

He was diagnosed with tonsil cancer earlier this year (2022) and on 24 June, Paul let fans know about his situation.

He tweeted out: “Today I finished my course of treatment, 30 radiotherapy sessions and two chemotherapy. I’m feeling the pain right now, but I’m in recovery and things can only get better from here.”

“I can’t thank the team who supported and treated me at The Christie enough. Doctors, Radiographers, dieticians, speech and language. You all really made it so much easier. I’ll forever look back at what you all do with a hand on my heart. Thank you massively.”

He then told his fans that he would be “back for a scan at the end of September” to “check all is well,” but for now he was taking some time and entering “recovery mode” as there was set to be “a couple of tough weeks ahead,” but Bonehead assured his followers that “he will get there”.
