Football sensation John Fashanu has been confirmed as the next celebrity to join the star-studded line-up for Dancing on Ice.
Speaking about his appearance on the upcoming ITV series, the former footballer, 60, told news outlets: “I’m so excited to be a part of Dancing on Ice!
“I don’t think it’ll come as a surprise to people that I’m very competitive – I am definitely in it to win it.

“And this may be one of the scariest things I’ve ever signed up for, but I couldn’t be more ready for the challenge!”
Elven new celebrities are set to take to the ice each week to battle it out to be crowned the next ice champion following Regan Gascoigne’s success.
They will be fighting to impress the judges and the viewers at home for the sparkling new series which promises to jam-pack more glitz, glamour and show-stopping performances than ever before.
The sportsman joins ex-EastEnders star turned DJ Patsy Palmer after she was confirmed to be joining the cast yesterday (October 4) on This Morning.
The 50-year-old actress appeared on the beloved ITV daytime show via a video link from her LA home where she confessed she confessed that she wanted to challenge herself by taking part in the skating competition after her milestone birthday.
When asked why she wanted to take part, the starlet jokingly replied: “Well, I didn’t obviously call them up and say, ‘Can I take part!’
“I wanted to challenge myself, get back to work, get out of my comfort zone.”
