Carol Vorderman spills on sex life with multiple partners as she 'breaks taboo'

Carol Vorderman, 62, has been married twice before – but she’s since decided it’s not the way she wants to live.

The Countdown star wed Christopher Mather in 1985 to 1986 – for just one year – and then Patrick King from 1990 to 2000 – and since then, her love life has remained very fluid.

The star appeared on This Morning on October 7 to present a new match-making segment alongside Gyles Brandreth, 74, and she was very candid with the viewers.

She kicked off the segment by telling viewers she was told to marry at a young age and addressed the convention of finding one partner for life.

As she reflected, the star said: “My view is not quite like that. Half of first marriages end in divorce and nearly three quarters of second marriages end in divorce. So I prefer to live my life in chapters.”

She explained that she’s been living her current chapter since she was 50 and has lived a “much freer” life.

The star added: “I have ignored looking for one person and I have a number of what I’ve called ‘special friends’.

The star spilled on her sexual antics

“This is a time to break this nonsense taboo, which is a person should only be looking for one other person that satisfies everything in their life. That’s hell.”

But while Carol likes to mix up her sex life, she confessed the other men don’t know the others.

She added: “They don’t know each other, but they know about it. It’s a very honest relationship. One of them has gone on for many years more than my marriage.”

Opening up on one of her special friends, she said that one who she has been seeing for seven years is an astronaut – and confessed he even rang her from the space station on one occasion.

She added that they’re all looking for “companionship or friendship”.

As she gave one final piece of advice to viewers she said: “Go with someone who makes your heart sing babies. Even if it’s only for an occasional weekend. You do you!”

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV at 10am.
