Strictly host Rylan Clark unrecognisable as he transforms into throwback X Factor star

Strictly Come Dancing fans were obsessed with Rylan Clark after he “dressed up as himself from X Factor” for Halloween.

Hosting the Strictly spin-off show – It Takes Two – on Friday night (October 28), fans were completely taken aback when the beloved host who shot to fame on X Factor looked completely different.

Although looking different from how we know him today, Rylan actually looked very much like himself from the early 2010s.

Wearing a black t-shirt that said “ain’t this love?” and a blonde wig, the TV star looked incredible as he sashayed onto the stage in the It Takes Two studio.

Rylan looked unrecognisable to some fans

Flapping his cape around while showing off his ensemble – which was very similar to what he wore for his X Factor audition, fans were quick to spot who Rylan was channelling for spooky season this year.

“Rylan is literally dressed as his X Factor self,” penned one.

Another said: “Rylan dressing as himself from the X Factor for Halloween is amazing!”

“Omg watching Strictly It Takes Two, Rylan ur hair I remember u when u when u had hair like this on X Factor all those years ago xxx looking good @Rylan,” added a third.

While a fourth penned: “Rylan ! Wow! Looking great.”

And a fifth joked: “@SamRyderMusic wants his hair back @Rylan @bbcstrictly #ItTakesTwo.”

After the show Rylan took to Twitter because some people were confused about who he decided to dress up as.

One person asked: Who is @Rylan meant to be on strictly? Julia Fox? Very confused right now #ItTakesTwo #StrictlyComeDancing.”

One fan branded Rylan’s look ‘iconic’

While another said: “What the David Guetta,” clearly unaware of Rylan’s X Factor stint.

Posting a GIF of himself laughing from the show, he penned: “When people ask what have you come as to Halloween…”

He also posted some snaps of him from X Factor along with him mimicking his old self, writing: “Happy Strictly HallowQueen #Ryserected.”

“ICONIC!! I loved it xxxx,” replied one fan.

Strictly Come Dancing will continue on Saturday on BBC One and iPlayer.
