The 36-year-old Camberwell-born star went on to say how it is “not in her nature to postpone a show” adding “and certainly not a UK tour”.
“I’m in pain,” she confessed, before adding: “and as dancers know, dancing on an injury is not a good idea. And have been told not to perform to avoid further damage.”
She added: “Please hang on to your tickets. We are working our hardest to reschedule these dates for next year and we will let you know as soon as possible.”
The singer then spoke of how “heartbroken” she is because the Dance Fever tour has been her favourite show that the band have ever put on.
The lengthy caption concluded with: “I love you so much, and I’m so sorry to anyone who is disappointed. My heart is aching. I can’t wait to be back on my feet and back in your arms.”
Fans flocked to the comments to send their well wishes to the star, with one speaking out about witnessing Florence dancing with a “bleeding and broken foot” on Friday night.
The fan penned: “Was at the concert last night and can confirm that you kept going with a bleeding and broken foot and gave us the best show!! You were incredible, thank you! Wishing you a speedy recovery.”
“The way you finished that show on a broken foot!!!!!!!! INCREDIBLE,” added another.
A third then said: “Can’t quite believe you still started running around the arena with a broken foot.. I’m so so sorry, hope you feel better soon and sending all my love.”
