Fleur East has become the first contestant of the 2022 series of Strictly Come Dancing to land a whopping high score of 40.
The chart-topping artist has finally won over Craig Revel-Horwood as the judge has been dishing out 9s and lower in recent weeks – but Fleur managed to get a high score of 10 from the judge.

Fleur, who was dancing to a remix from Destiny’s Child as she looked utterly sensational in matching silver sequined outfits, became emotional as she heard the score.
Fleur was joined by Vito Coppola as the pair secured the first perfect 40 from the judges while Motsi Mabuse said she needed to push her chair back so she could dance along to the performance.
The artist described the moment as she landed the score as “full circle” adding that she grew up listening to the girl group which prompted her to become a singer.
Craig had described Fleur’s performance as “fab-u-lous”, while Shirley declared it was “iconic” and would “go down in history”.
As Fleur fought back her tears, the camera soon panned to her mum who also had a rather emotional display as she gushed over her daughter’s impressive routine.
Fleur is currently topping the leaderboard as she attended Blackpool to put on a sensational performance.
Fans at home couldn’t help but gush over Fleur as one user wrote: “Fleur absolutely amazing should be on tour with #destinyschild.”
Another said: “Fleur was bloody fantastic tonight. Was like watching a music video.”
A third added: “FLEUR OH MY GOODDDD CRAIGS FIRST 10 I AM IN TEARS.”
The singer hasn’t had the easiest start on Strictly because despite having a history in music and dancing, ballroom proved to be an entirely different ballgame.
Fleur found herself on the lower end of the scoreboard multiple times and even found herself in the bottom two – but it looks like Blackpool saw her redeem herself.
Although the full results are not yet in with the public vote still to come, fans are hopeful that Fleur will land herself a spot in the final.
Strictly’s results show will return on Sunday night on BBC One.
