The organisers of the Neighbours Farewell Tour have confirmed that the events will still go ahead in the UK next year under a new name, following the news of the soap’s return.
The soap had originally been axed by broadcaster Channel 5, with the soap’s ‘final’ episode airing in the summer and featuring a host of familiar faces including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce.
A Neighbours Farewell Tour was subsequently announced for 2023 following the axe, allowing fans of the soap to meet fan favourites including Karl and Susan Kennedy icons Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne.

However, Neighbours viewers were recently delighted when production company Fremantle signed a deal to air the soap on Amazon Freevee, with the programme set to make a comeback in 2023.

Following the announcement, the organisers of the Neighbours Farewell Tour have confirmed that the planned events will still go ahead – and announced a new name.
Taking to their official Twitter account, an initial statement said: “First things first, we are THRILLED that #Neighbours is coming back.
“As for the Farewell Tour, it will absolutely be going ahead as planned – we just need a new name.
“2023 – Bring it on!”
The tour have since issued a further statement today (November 23, 2022) announcing a new name for the events and what fans can expect.
They said: “Following the exciting news that the show is returning, we’re rebranding The Farewell Tour (for the third time!) to Neighbours – The Celebration Tour, a name which perfectly represents what it was always planned to be, a celebration of Neighbours past, present and future!” followed by a love heart emoji.
The official Neighbours Twitter page also teased in the comments that another guest will soon be announced for the tour, with fans sharing their excitment for the events on social media.
One fan commented: “Tell us who the last guest is lol. So happy Neighbours is returning. Hope the cast from the last season will be back.”
“Amazing news,” added a second, while a third said: “This is so so so exciting.”
Meanwhile, other fans begged for icons from the soap to appear on the tour, with one saying: “My guess is Stefan Dennis,” while another added: “I would love it to be Georgie Stone.”
