Emmerdale's Danny Miller breaks silence as he's 'snubbed' from I'm A Celeb final

Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has broken his silence after fans complained that he was “missing” from the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! final.

In the past, the previous year’s winner has returned to hand over the crown, but Danny, who won in 2021, was nowhere to be seen.

On Sunday (November 27), Lioness Jill Scott was crowned the new Queen of the Jungle after beating Owen Warner and Matt Hancock in the finale.

However fans wondered where Danny was, as it appeared to be a tradition that the previous winner would return for the crowning.

Fans asked on Twitter where the soap star was, with one saying: “Why didn’t Danny Miller crown Jill?”

Another said: “Have they stopped asking the previous winner to come on and hand over the crown? Thought Danny Miller may have been there to crown Jill?”

A third said: “Doesn’t last year’s winner usually hand over the crown? Danny Miller? No?”

As someone else asked: “Hold on where is Danny?”

However Danny, who played Aaron Dingle in ITV soap Emmerdale, congratulated Jill on Twitter after she stormed it to the top spot.

He wrote: “Deserved winner Jill! A pleasure to hand over the crown to you! Enjoy it!”

While many fans believed that the previous winner would always return, it is understood that that only happened if they were out in Australia to film the I’m A Celeb spin-off.

However now that Get Me Out Of Here Now, or Extra Camp as it was later known, has been axed, there was no reason for Danny to be in Australia.

This week, it was revealed that Jill won the finale by a mile after getting more than 50% of the vote.

During the first round of voting – which also included Owen and Matt, Jill won 47.3% of the votes, while Owen had 31% and Matt had 21.72%.

Then after Matt was eliminated in third place and the voting re-opened, Jill won first place with 57.7% while Owen came in second with 42.3% of the vote.
