Peter Kay was reportedly forced off stage to have a break during his live stand-up show at the Newcastle Utilita Arena after three audience members fell ill.
The three fans were sat in the front row of the comedian’s sold-out comeback tour, which has seen him perform in some of the biggest arenas around the UK.
Things took a turn for the worst when the trio turned unwell and needed urgent medical attention.

Peter had asked if they were “Being serious” before calling over stewards to see what was wrong.
An audience member told The Sun that one of the sick fans was seen getting “wheelchaired out.”
“People near the front started shouting for an ambulance and Peter asked if they were being serious,” they revealed. “Then he asked for the big lights to go on and stewards ran over to see what was going on.
He was said the have been instantly rushed off the stage to take a 10-15 minute break after the incident, leaving his crowd of 11,000 fans.
“He then went off stage for around 10/15 mins and one person was seen getting wheelchaired out,” the audience member added.
When Peter returned to the stage, two more members of the audience had fallen ill and he told fans that he “hoped they were ok.”
Peter’s tour saw him return to the stage for the first time in several years and will see him continue through until August 2023 at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena.
He said it was a “massive pleasure” to be able to release a book based on his journey from being obsessed with TV to then being a star of the small screen.
His memoir will mark his long-awaited return to writing after his record-breaking release of his autobiography The Sound Of Laughter in 2006, Saturday Night Peter in 2009 and The Book That’s More Than Just A Book in 2011.
