BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood suffered an embarrassing “bra” blunder while promoting her latest book.
The beloved weather star is famed for giving viewers the latest forecasts every morning on BBC Breakfast – and brightening up their day with her smile.
But Carol, 60, is a lady of many talents as she’s also a successful author who has written two dreamy fiction books.

Unfortunately, though, she accidentally shared what appeared to be a saucy message in an Instagram post while promoting her tird and latest novel, Secrets of the Villa Amore.
Taking to the social media site last week with a picture of the book cover, she wrote: “Woohoo! I am thrilled to share the cover of my brand new summer romance #SecretsoftheVillaAmore, arriving July 2023.
“Get ready for sun, sea and scandal on the Amafli coast. Preorder it now!”
But one fan noticed a sponsored post on Instagram that cut off the caption in a place that made it sound like Carol wanted to expose her bra to the world.
They shared a screenshot of the advert which read: “Dear readers, I am thrilled to share the cover of my bra…”
And the rest of the word was hidden with a ‘read more’ icon instead, giving fans a bit of a giggle.
A preview of the book, expected to arrive on 20 July, read: “The new sun-drenched summer read from the bestselling author and TV presenter Mamma Mia meets Jackie Collins in a page-turning blockbuster – when a family gather together for a wedding on the Amalfi coast, it sets the scene for scandal, secrets and sizzle under an Italian sun.
“The bride is marrying the love of her life, but is he really the person she thinks he is? The chief bridesmaid is keeping a secret that could destroy her best friend.
“The mother of the bride is surprised by the appearance of her first love… Get swept away by Carol’s compelling page-turner, you won’t want to put it down.”
