Tipping Point fans baffled as ‘Michael Buble’ appears on ITV show – but has bad habit

Tipping Point fans were left gobsmacked as ‘Michael Buble’ appeared on the ITV quiz show this week.

On Friday’s (May 26) episode, host Ben Shephard introduced Robert, Alison and Mark – the latter of whom bore a striking resemblance to the Canadian singer.

Mark wore a burgundy jumper over a collared shirt, and sported a short brunette goatee which gave him the look of the Just Haven’t Met You Yet hitmaker.

And fans were baffled by the resemblance, taking to social media to remark on the similarities between the pair.

One penned: “Poundland Michael Buble on #TippingPoint.”

While another echoed: “He does have a weird look of him lol.”

But others were much more distracted by Mark’s bad habit of commentating over his fellow players’ drop attempts, as he narrated the way the counter fell into the various drop zones.

One begged: “Whoever’s commentating shut up!”

“Stop bloody commentating Mark,” someone else said, as a third grumbled: “It’s like the other guy who was commenting all the time on a recent episode. One of the older contestants.”

Mark wasn’t the only one, however, as Robert’s dulcet tones also chimed in to offer some narration.

Viewers were slightly relieved when he was eliminated first, with one writing: “Thank god Robert has gone, can’t be doing with his commentary @benshephard tell the contestants to keep their gobs shut!”

“Robert has become a f***ing structural engineer in the last 10 min!” another said of his expertise with the machine.

“Put a sock in it,” somebody else said.

It comes after a royal blunder made on the show earlier this week had fans rolling their eyes.

Contestant Lloyd was asked: “In the history of the British monarchy, how many queens have there been with the name Elizabeth?”

Lloyd, who appeared perplexed, replied: “Three.”

The answer was, of course, two – with the late Queen Elizabeth II being the latest.

One fan commented: ” *Three* queens named Elizabeth? Let’s be generous and attribute it to the pressure of the studio…”

“Oh yes my favourite monarch, Queen Elizabeth III,” another drily added.
