Eamonn Holmes has addressed the ‘Queuegate’ scandal surrounding Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The broadcaster, 63, appeared on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight for the second part of his bombshell interview about his time at ITV.
When working at This Morning, Phillip and his co-star Holly sparked backlash after they were perceived to be jumping the queue when they paid their respects to the late Queen while she was laying in state.

The pair reassured viewers at the time that they were escorted to a separate press platform at the back of the hall and stressed that they would never have taken someone’s place in the queue.
Speaking about the controversial moment, Eamonn said: “They were there to make a film on the Queen’s funeral. Have you seen the film?
Dan replied: “There was no film was there?”
Eamonn added: “Apparently they were there.”
Dan responded “There was no camera.”
Eamonn conitnued: “Well they were there. That’s the official line given by the editor of the programme that they were there to make a film but unless there’s any documentary evidence of this, I would put it to you that this is another lie.
“So Phillip Scofield admits he lies. ITV lie.”
It comes after Phillip Schofield resigned from ITV and was dropped by his talent agency, YMU, after admitting to the “unwise, but not illegal” affair, having previously denied it.
He had previously denied accusations of an affair with a much younger male colleague, something his former co-presenter Holly Willoughby says is “very hurtful”.
Holly is expected to return to This Morning on Monday (June 5) after taking an extended break.
A spokesperson for ITV said on Saturday that the broadcaster was “not provided with, and did not find, any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour” when it looked into the matter in 2020.
“ITV can confirm that when rumours of a relationship between Phillip Schofield and an employee of ITV first began to circulate in early 2020 ITV investigated”, the statement read.

“Both parties were questioned and both categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours as did Phillip’s then agency YMU.
“In addition, ITV spoke to a number of people who worked on This Morning and were not provided with, and did not find, any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour.
“Phillip’s statement yesterday reveals that he lied to people at ITV, from senior management to fellow presenters, to YMU, to the media and to others over this relationship.”
