Britain’s Got Talent favourite Malakai Bayoh suffers major blow before ITV final

Britain’s Got Talent starlet Malakai Bayoh could come second to dancer Musa Motha, according to bookies.

13-year-old Malakai floored BGT judges from his very first audition, showing off his crystal clear voice and receiving Simon Cowell’s golden buzzer with his rendition of ‘Pie Jesu’ by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The classical music-lover has made it into the final, alongside Musa Motha, Amy Lou, Viggo Venn, Olivia Lynes, Ghetto Kids, Travis George, Duo Odyssey, Cillian O’Connor, and Lillianna Clifton.

Despite widespread support, bookies indicate that Malakai may not take home the crown.

The latest odds show that South African dancer and cancer survivor Musa will mostly likely win the talent competition.

Lee Phelps, of gambling company William Hill, commented, “After an exhilarating semi-final performance, we’ve seen a lot of support for Musa Motha to win this Sunday’s final of Britain’s Got Talent.

“The amputee dancer’s price for victory was as high as Evens throughout this week but has been backed into 4/6, with punters seemingly confident with the 27-year-old’s chances.

“Comedian Viggo Venn is deemed the most likely threat to Motha’s chances of glory on Sunday at 3/1, whilst singer Malakai Bayoh is a 7/2 shot.”

These odds show Musa Motha’s first place slot will perhaps be followed by comedian Viggo in second place, seeing Malakai tipped for third place.

Ugandan dance group Ghetto Kids also have a high chance of winning, receiving odds of 14/1.

Nevertheless, Malaki may still beat the odds, having brought judges and fans alike to tears with his angelic arias.

The young talent has brought judge Bruno Tonioli to tears twice, most recently at the TV show’s semi-finals.

The British-Italian TV personality gushed over Malakai, commenting at the semi-final, “You’re a gift from God. You sang one of my favourite arias from Puccini.

“It is incredible to have a boy like you producing this divine sound.”

Fellow judge Simon Cowell also complimented the young boy’s talent, branding him “One of the best voices I think I’ve ever heard,” after his initial audition.

When he’s not stealing hearts on national television, Malakai shares his talent on other stages, having recently performed for an audience of 5,000 at Royal Albert Hall.

Britain’s Got Talent Final airs on Sunday, June 4 at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
