Katie Price shares update as she explains son Jett hasn’t attended school for months

Katie Price has shared an update that son Jett Hayler hasn’t attended school in nine months as he switches to home education.

The former glamour model, who shares youngest children Jett and Bunny with ex husband Kieran Hayler, updated followers on her family as well as how her youngest son was benefitting from home education.

Mother-of-five Katie explained her reasoning for son Jett’s change in education during a TikTok live Q&A with fans.

When asked on the social media platform how son Jett was doing, mum Katie replied: “Jett is good. He hasn’t been to school for nine months, so he has homeschooling at the moment.”

Katie has followed in the footsteps of many other celebrity mums who have switched to home education over mainstream schooling, which they find benefits their children.

Loose Women star Stacey Solomon opened up in 2018 about her decision to teach her two eldest sons Zachary and Leighton rather than have them in mainstream education.

She wrote: “”When Zachary was halfway through Year Two he began to lose some of my favourite parts of his personality. Before that, he was often cheeky and making jokes, he never worried what people thought of him.

“He was a happy-go-lucky child, always inquisitive and wanting to know EVERYTHING about everything… He became very quiet and a little sad.”

She added: “Homeschooling has always been at the back of my mind, because whenever I am with the boys and we are out in different environments their senses heighten and their enthusiasm to learn is at its best.”

Elsewhere in the land of Katie Price, she’s updated fans after receiving an ADHD diagnosis as she told fans “my brain is wired differently”.

The star opened up about her neurodivergence in an interview with Ok! magazine, as she explained how she is currently exploring how having ADHD has affected her past decision making and attitudes.

Katie explained: “I’ve tried to educate my mum, but my brain is wired differently to other people.

“I hate labels, but now my mum and I have both spoken to doctors and she has realised why I’ve done things in the past, why I act the way I do, why I do things, why I am the way I am.

“It’s not because I don’t listen and take it on board, there’s just something in me. I’ve got better now, I’ve learnt with therapy to hold back, to listen, and think of what other people are saying – maybe they’re right, maybe they’re wrong, but I think of the consequences.”
