Former Love Island star Maura Higgins is set to make a major return to the show as she takes on the role of social ambassador for the US version.
The 32-year-old rose to fame when she first appeared on the popular ITV series in 2019 as a stunning bombshell.
Since then, the fan favourite has been urged to make an epic return by fans, which led her to even tease a possible comeback earlier this week.

But fans are in luck, as Love Island announced the big news regarding Maura’s return Thursday evening (July 13).
On the official Love Island USA Instagram page, a jaw-dropping snap of Maura was posted, along with the message: “This just in… @maurahiggins will be your social ambassador this season bringing (sneaking) you the BTS scoop all summer!”
After seeing the post on their screens, awestruck fans headed straight to the comment section.
One wrote: “Whatttttttttt the best news so far!!!! I love Maura.”
Another penned: “A LOVE ISLAND LEGEND!!!!!! Welcome to @loveislandusa @maurahiggins! #LoveIslandUSA.”
A third shared: “YESSSSSS @maurahiggins!! Can’t wait to see your beautiful self on my screen again!”
And a fourth said: “Yum yesss! The most excited I’ve ever been for love island us.”
Meanwhile, Love Island’s voiceover Iain Stirling said: “Welcome to the team.”
Maura first had fans speculating her return when she took to social media and penned: “Bye bye London… for a long time.”
The TV star continued to set tongues wagging when she touched down in her new location and was greeted by two men holding up signs with the Love Island logo on them.

The signs also read “got a text”, as Maura posted the mysterious welcome to the country on her Instagram Stories.
After appearing on Love Island, Maura has remained booked and busy and made a name for herself as a TV presenter.
Maura previously hosted segments on ITV’s This Morning and fronted the BBC’s show Glow Up Ireland.
Due to her outspoken personality, the stunning brunette previously insisted that people often misjudge her.
She said: “When I meet people out, they always say, ‘You’re so much nicer than I expected.'”
