One daytime TV host needed help from her co-stars to get up from the floor after unceremoniously face-planting live on air.
80-year-old Joy Behar was struggling to get to her seat on ABC show The View back in March 2022, and took a nasty tumble as she missed the swivel chair, landing instead on the floor.
But this week, red-faced Joy brought up the incident again, leaving Whoopi Goldberg frightened for her.

At the time, Behar laughed off the incident, telling the audience: “In 25 years that has never happened to me. Who do I sue?”
On Thursday (July 27), Joy commented: “Remember when I fell on stage here? My tush missed the seat.”
Whoopi admitted: “It scared us so badly. You didn’t see what we saw,” she warned the audience.
She added: “We saw you trying to figure out how not to fall onto the floor, and that was scary because you don’t know whether to catch you and annoy you ’cause we’re touching you.”
Joy joked: “The chairs were moving. It was like a ride on Coney Island. It was swirling.”
The fall meant new safety features were introduced to the set – ditching the swivel chairs for stationary stools with an adjoining back, which provide all of the chic with less of the risk.
But Whoopi wasn’t happy, giggling: “They’re not new to my behind, because my behind doesn’t fit in this chair as I’ve mentioned many times.
“The other one, my butt fit on, but it was not good for you. So we give what we can.”
Thankfully Joy was uninjured after the incident, but she left fans of the show terrified.

One Twitter user said: “Hope she is okay, not funny when the elderly take a fall. Think about your own parents and grandparents.”
“Fortunately she didn’t break a hip,” somebody else agreed.
While a third echoed: “If you notice the chairs used, it was inevitable. Others have fallen too.”
“Hope she is okay, I like her, she’s fantastic. Shame on people making jokes, says a lot about who you are… not nice,” another said.
