Danniella Westbrook begs ‘don’t send me hate’ and says she’s ‘seriously struggling’

Danniella Westbrook has revealed she’s “taking some time away” after admitting she’s “struggling” with the “constant trolling and hate”.

The 49-year-old has been the centre of media attention recently after a number of raunchy photos from her holiday to Ibiza emerged online.

But Danniella appears to have had enough of the hateful comments she’s been receiving and headed over to Instagram to share her concerns.

A while later, Danniella shared a post on her Instagram story which read: “Taking some time away from my phone, Insta and Twitter.

“Sunshine, beach and relaxing by the pool with a book. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

“Love, Westie x.”

The news comes after the former EastEnders star revealed she was confronted by six gun-wielding police officers in Ibiza airport last week due to a previous unresolved offence.

Danniella travelled to Ibiza with friends last week for a relaxing sun-soaked trip following her recent breast augmentation.

However her peaceful break was disrupted when she was confronted by six officers at passport control and taken into a room minutes after arriving.

The I’m A Celeb star is subject to an outstanding police complaint regarding an alleged driving offence in 2018 – which saw her arrested by national police and detained for 14 hours.

She was then later convicted of fraud after failing to pay for 37 euros (or £32.90 at the time) worth of petrol she put into a car she hired during a motorway stop.

Since her incident five years ago, Danniella hadn’t visited a Spanish country until last week.

Sharing details on her ordeal, she told The Mirror: “I landed in Ibiza and everybody went through passport control and when I put my passport in it [said] ‘stop, wait for assistance’ so I thought there was something wrong with my passport or whatever – them electronic things are always rubbish.

“Anyway, the guy has come over and said: ‘wait there’. Then the door opened and about six police officers came out and said to me, ‘We need to speak to you’.

“In Spain they all have guns anyway, that’s a bit daunting – when I see all the guns I think ‘oh god’.”

She explained that after speaking with them she had given her contact details so she could get in touch with the court, which will be finalised in September.
