Big Brother Farida’s one word response to housemates as she’s first to be evicted

Big Brother star Farida has become the first housemate evicted from the house.

During Friday’s (October 13) episode of the ITV2 programme, the housemates were tasked with nominating for the first time this series. Facing the public vote alongside Farida, 50, was NHS worker Kerry, who received five nominations from her fellow housemates.

But on the night, it was Farida who received the least amount of votes. However, she appeared in high spirts when her name was called out as she jumped up and simply yelled: “Yes!”

Farida being up for the public vote was due to the eight nominations she received from her fellow housemates. Henry’s nomination for Farida came as he claimed she was “opinionated on something she doesn’t even have the perspective on,” while Dylan slammed her as “rude” for not knowing housemates’ proper names.

Olivia also nominated Farida, sharing her annoyance when she ate food off of her plate without asking. While Kerry claimed Farida looks down on her, admitting she finds it difficult to get along with her.

After learning she was up for eviction, Farida mused that the two oldest housemates found themselves up for eviction. She told Kerry: “All the youngsters stuck together and they got out the oldest people.”

This week, Farida has come under fire from fans due to her “insensitive” comments about Kerry, who has multiple sclerosis. The housemates took part in a trial which saw then work for a fictional company and placed into sections.

Farida appeared delighted when her name was called out

Both placed in the Middle Management category, Farida wasted no time taking aim at Kerry for not getting involved with the physical tasks. The remarks caused uproar on social media as fans raced to X to slam Farida.

One person wrote: “farida calling kerry lazy for not being able to do tasks that require standing???? when she has MS and can’t stand up for long periods of time???? i swear farida just wants to get at kerry for breathing at this point.”

A second exclaimed: “i spat my food out when farida called kerry lazy to say that about a person who has been extremely open about their disability and how it affects them is just ableism at its finest.”

Another viewer added: “I don’t rate Kerry and I have defended Farida before because she’s faced some unfair criticism but come ON you can’t call someone with MS lazy are you joking me like do you think the scooter is for fun or what.”

While a fourth agreed: “Farida trying to turn everyone against Kerry for not helping with chores is the same sort of ableism that paints disabled people who can’t work as lazy. Absolutely gross. Like what are you contributing in terms of support or morale Farida? Yeah exactly.”
