Home and Away signs Tristan Gorey as Levi as new doctor ‘races to save Summer Bay favourite’

Home and Away bosses have announced a new character is set to arrive in Summer Bay.

Tristan Gorey has joined the cast of the Australian soap as Dr Levi, a recently qualified Cardiothoracic Surgeon who will “race to save a Home and Away favourite”. UK fans will have to wait to see Levi in action until the new year, however Aussie viewers will be introduced to the new doctor in early November.

Australian actor Tristan, who is best known for his breakout role in the award-winning series Mystery Road: Origin, was born in Perth, Western Australia. The TV star studied at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and was able to develop his skills in storytelling.

Home and Away will return to its usual timeslot of 1:45pm on weekdays when the new series kicks off in the new year, just in time for Tristan to make his debut. It’s unknown which Summer Bay favourite he is racing to save, but fans will know Justin Morgan (James Stewart) and Leah Patterson’s (Ada Nicodemou) lives will hang in the balance in the series finale.

After winning a luxurious getaway, the couple are delighted at spending some much-needed time together away from the Bay. But their trip takes a devastating turn when they are kidnapped and left for dead in an abandoned warehouse. With no idea where they are and no way of escaping, the days pass as Justin and Leah are left fighting for their lives.

In a desperate attempt to save them, Justin climbs to the top of a ladder and begins scaling the roof. However, when the scrap metal Justin’s using to help guide him across the roof comes crashing down, he is left severely injured while Leah is hysterical.

Inside the dingy warehouse are the words ‘The End Is Near’ graffitied on the wall, and it couldn’t be closer to the truth for Leah and Justin, who’s energy levels are running dangerously low. With Justin in a dire state, Leah is frantic for help as their lives teeter on the edge.
