Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice could be set for a stint on an iconic reality show, an expert has claimed.
The Italian pro, 33, has been a firm favourite on the glitzy BBC One show – making his debut back in 2015. Since then, he’s been a regular on the dance floor, showing off his best moves.
Over the years, Giovanni has been partnered with celebs like Georgia May Foote, Laura Whitmore and Richie Anderson. He was even crowned champ in 2021, alongside Rose Ayling-Ellis.

For this year’s series, Giovanni teamed up with actress Amanda Abbington. And it’s fair to say the pair set the dance floor on fire at the start of the competition.
However last month, Sherlock star Amanda dramatically quit the show amid rumours of a feud between her and Gio. Her exit meant that Giovanni was also eliminated from this year’s competition – leaving viewers gutted.
Since then, fans have been worried that Giovanni could also be leaving the dancing show. And now, an expert has claimed that Giovanni won’t be short of career options if he decides to say goodbye.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Dom Aldworth, Head of Brand Marketing at Slingo noted how Giovanni how could leave the show “to focus on his personal brand.” The expert also reckons a stint on an iconic reality show could be in store for Giovanni too.
“Amanda’s sudden departure has sparked rumours and speculation on whether Giovanni will also quit the show. Giovanni himself has only fueled rumours, sharing news of his upcoming projects away from Strictly,” Dom said.
He added: “Giovanni could be looking to leave the show to focus on his personal brand. The professional dancer recently shared updates on his brand new 2024 tour ‘Giovanni: Let Me Entertain You’.”
Giovanni will be taking to stages all across the UK next year for the tour – something Dom says could “become a real career focus for the Italian dancer.” But that’s not all that could be in store for Giovanni.

The expert said how Giovanni could even land a role on a reality TV show. And with ITV’s Celebrity Big Brother confirmed for next year, Dom reckons it’s the perfect time.
Giovanni would certainly be of interest to reality TV bosses due to his experience being on-screen throughout his time on Strictly,” he said. Dom then noted how Giovanni being one of Strictly’s most popular pro dancers, he has a strong fan base, something that “would draw viewers to any reality TV show.”
The expert went on: “While Giovanni will be occupied with his 2024 tour run until the end of July, this leaves the dancer will a large gap for the rest of the year if he chooses not to return to Strictly. It isn’t impossible that we don’t see the dancer switch things up and appear on a show like Celebrity Big Brother or I’m A Celebrity.”
Dom finished by saying: “Whether or not the Strictly professional will quit the show is up in the air.” However, the expert added: “There’s no question that Giovanni has a range of projects and passions he would be able to focus more attention on if he left the series.”
