William Flanagan is one of the child actors wowing Coronation Street viewers with his performance on the cobbles, but he isn’t the only star in the family.
The 12-year-old actor has been playing Weatherfield’s Joseph Brown – who is the son of Chesney Brown and Katy Armstrong – for the past six years. And it turns out that his twin sister is in the ITV soap too.
Isabella stars as Joseph’s cousin Hope Stape in the soap, a role she’s also had since 2017. She was cast first, with William following in her footsteps and bagging his Corrie role just months later.

The twins have another famous face in the family too, as their elder sister Amelia is in Emmerdale. She was cast as April Windsor back in 2014 and has been playing the part ever since.
Now 15, the young actress has had some important storylines, such as when schoolgirl April faced online trolling. She has been recognised for her work with several awards nominations in best young actress categories, and in 2015 won the coveted Best Young Performance going at the British Soap Awards.
Earlier this year, their dad Chris told of his pride in a message on Twitter, now X. Sharing snaps of Amelia when she was little and today, he said: “Can’t believe it’s 9 years since we watched Amelia’s first appearance on @emmerdale with no clue of what lay ahead!
“Super proud of her for all she’s done over those 9 years!” he added. Isabella has also previously said that her big sister inspired her when it came to acting.
The Mirror previously quoted her as saying that she had loved tuning in to see Amelia in the Dales. She said: “I’ve wanted to be on TV for a long time, my sister has been in Emmerdale since she was five and I love watching her, my audition was a really fun script and I was so excited when Ology (casting agency) rang my mum to give us the good news.”
She added that everyone at the soap was “lovely and friendly”.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX
