The Chase was forced to an abrupt halt after one of the quiz pros “kicked off” during the ITV show.
Top comedian Dom Joly starred on Beat The Chasers where he took on all five of the chasers and managed to beat them all, winning £50k for charity. However, The Beast was left fuming after he stopped the show to look back at a decision.
Talking about his time on the show, Dom exclusively said: “I always win those, I love doing quizzes, I travel a lot and read a lot, I’m not stupid. I don’t know whether they dumb down the questions with celeb versions, they say they don’t…

“But what I really liked about beating the chasers was how angry they got. You kind of think ‘Do they give a s***? It’s not their money they’re handing over’. It certainly wasn’t my money either, it was going to charity.
“They started arguing and they actually had to stop the show. And The Beast challenged something and wanted to rethink and in the end, he lost the judgment and then they stopped the clock again. I kind of loved that. “
Dom also opened up about the time he got in trouble in North Korea on a work trip after being told he wasn’t allowed to take any photos. He explained: “I was in North Korea, which is very difficult to get into anyway, as I was researching for my book.
“And you’re not allowed to take photographs of anything. They confiscate everything from you when you get there. And if you keep your camera, you have to ask permission from everyone before you take pictures.
“I was like slowly taking pictures because people were looking but they weren’t really watching all the time. And then when we were going to leave, we left on a train to China. And I thought ‘This is great. I’ve got away with it’.
“And as we’re leaving, someone runs down and says there’s a North Korean soldier coming down looking through cameras, and I’ve got all these pictures that I’m not supposed to have. I don’t know what to do. So I took the card out and I stuck it up my a***. And then I got another card and I put it in the camera. But I thought he’s not going to believe I’ve got no photos.”
He added: “We were drinking North Korean beer, which was quite good, so I just took like 200 photos of a North Korean beer bottle and he came in and he started looking at my camera and he goes through them, then he gets to about 100 bottles and he just looked at me like ‘you’ve got a real problem’.”
