Cat Deeley’s most embarrassing TV moment has resurfaced after becoming the new host of This Morning.
The 47-year-old has taken the helm alongside Ben Shephard, 49, after both Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby stepped down from their roles last year. And one particular incident stands out in her mind as her most embarrassing moment in her 26-year career.
Asked what her most embarrassing moment was in an interview with The Guardian, she said: “When I was hosting Stars In Their Eyes, in a dress rehearsal I had to come up a steep ramp in a pair of heels, and there was so much dry ice I couldn’t see anything.” I ran into the doors instead of through them.

“With the show due to start in 20 minutes, they had to patch up my bleeding nose with powder so the blood would coagulate.” Cat took over from Matthew Kelly as host of Stars In Their Eyes in 2004 and hosted it until the show came to an in 2006.
In 2006, she began hosting the second season of American reality show So You Think You Can Dance, replacing newsreader Lauren Sanchez. Cat’s first week on This Morning has been praised by fans with many viewers gushing over her “stunning” style and natural beauty.
But the star admitted this week that she has had her fair share of beauty fails throughout her two decades on telly. Beauty ambassador Cat recently shared her beauty secrets with Ella & Jo Cosmetics, including some of her past beauty blunders.
She revealed her daily routine, which starts with a cup of hot water first thing in the morning, although she confessed it’s “quite boring”. She said: “I used to have hot water and lemon but do not do that, folks it will wreck your teeth!”
Despite receiving lots of praise alongside her co-star Ben Shephard this week, some viewers did notice one annoying habit of Cat’s. A few fans noticed that Cat often interrupts guests, including celebrity chef John Torode.
Viewers were particularly frustrated by Cat and Ben frequently talking over each other during the show’s different segments. One viewer was not impressed when Cat kept interrupting as Torode, a regular on the show, when he was explaining his ultimate Thai green curry recipe.
The viewer fumed: “Is this the Cat Deeley show? She never stops making a noise!”
