Josie Gibson and Stephen Mulhern’s relationship is “more than platonic”, according to a body language expert.
The pair both appeared on the final episode of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway over the weekend and were seen walking together hand in hand behind-the-scenes of the ITV show.
When asked about their relationship status. Josie, 39, told MailOnline: “I’m in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don’t think he loves me” but body language expert Darren Stanton has revealed their relationship is “more than platonic”.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, Darren said: “When we look at Josie, we can tell she’s a kinaesthetic person. She communicates by being tactile and isn’t afraid to show affection. She’s also very open with her body language, which suggests she’s honest and genuine with her emotions.
“Josie’s body gestures are a lot more open than Stephen’s. Stephen comes across as more guarded and protective of himself. It does appear that Josie is more into it than Stephen, but that could be down to her feeling more comfortable in that situation. Stephen is naturally reserved and keeps things on the down low.”
He continued: “Josie looks like she’s in a good place. She’s feeling good about herself and it’s clear she is enjoying Stephen’s company. When we look at the way Josie and Stephen are holding hands, it’s a tight handlock – and I would say this isn’t a typical handhold you would use with a friend.
“Friends do hold hands from time to time, but looking at how interlocked their hands are makes me believe it could be more than a platonic relationship. It tells us Josie and Stephen trust each other a lot and they have a strong rapport with each other. Their growing connection will only develop more.”
The pair have been friends for years but have never taken things further than pals publicly. Last year, Josie opened up about her love life and said she was in the early stages of a romance. She told the publication: “There is someone in my life at the moment but it’s early stages…I’ve said I love you. It’s best to just get it out of the way, I don’t like playing games.”
