The One Show presenter Lucy Siegle was left “screaming in pain” and rushed to hospital.
Lucy, who is a BBC TV regular had suffered a kidney stone while appearing on the popular programme, Lucy shared her agonising experience with Instagram followers, stating that she had spent a harrowing night in A&E with the excruciating condition.
Prior to the bank holiday weekend, the TV star, who currently resides in Surrey, said she found herself screaming in pain. She commented to fans online: “Spent the night in A&E with kidney stones. It was brutal.”

“But if you’re going to scream in pain and throw up in public the unflappable and good-humoured @epsom_sthelier emergency staff are the people to do it with. Thanks guys,” said Lucy.
Lucy, treated at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Trust, expressed her gratitude for their assistance. Known for her environmental journalism, Siegle frequently graces the current affairs show as a host.
After fans had became concerned for her, she returned to her platform to provide further update. One follower asked: “Hope you aren’t suffering too much with your Kidney Stones. I went through it four years ago, rushed into hospital and stent fitted.

They continued: “Then several treatments of Lythotripsy later stones battered. Hope it goes well.” To which she responded, “Thank you. Very kind. Stone sill in situ. Just had second round of litho.
“Pain is fine now but obvs that can change quickly. Strange scenario!” reports Bristol Live. The 49-year-old, previously revealed that doctors found a large kidney stone and scheduled her for lithotripsy – an ultrasound treatment that breaks down the hard mass into small particles that can be naturally expelled by the body.

Lucy is best recognised as a reporter on The One Show, having joined the team in 2007. She has also stepped in as a guest presenter for the programme on several occasions. In addition to providing sustainability advice for The Times, she co-produced the documentary The True Cost for Netflix.
