Love Island’s Sammy Root reveals secret link to ex Jess Harding’s new partner

Love Island’s Sammy Root declares himself as “very single” right now – after parting ways with his co-star Jess Harding shortly after they left the ITV villa.

The TV star, who won last year’s show, is on “happier terms” with his co-star ex now and is “way past it”. Jess has also now moved on with her new fella, Sam Quinn, who Sammy has a surprising connection with.

He told us: “I can’t remember the last contact we had but like, in terms of talking. We don’t talk now, but if I saw her, I’d always say hello, like there’s no animosity there.

Her new boyfriend is from my area and we’ve got mutual friends and stuff. And like at the end of the day, I feel like I’m way past all that now.”

Jess has since shared some loved-up snaps with her new man on social media and first confirmed she was in a new relationship in March during a Q&A on Instagram. Whereas, Sammy revealed he is more than happy being “single Sammy” as he’s been back-to-back busy.

When asked if he had any villa regrets, Sammy revealed he stands by every choice he made – because let’s face it, he might not have won if he had done anything differently!

Sammy added: “I’ve always said before I went into the villa, I’m gonna be completely real and do everything exactly how I would do it. So I have no regrets. So if I changed anything, I wouldn’t have been being me so…”

The handsome star has also been taking part in a grueling fitness regime as he prepares for a hefty 100k marathon. The singleton is raising money for MIND, a cause close to his heart.

Samy told us: “I’ve been training very hard because I’m doing the London 2 Brighton marathon next Sunday, which is 100k, I’m doing it for MIND.

“I’ve been in the gym a lot training for that because my legs are going to die. Then I’ve got a Tough Mudder that I’m doing for MIND as well, it will be hard, but it’s all for a good cause.”
