Pete Wicks says Sam Thompson would be ‘buzzing’ to groom his nether regions

Pete Wicks has opened up about his seamless grooming routine – which his pal Sam Thompson has recently been a part of.

The TOWIE star has recently teamed up with Phillips OneBlade, along with his Staying Relevant podcast host Sam, on the brand’s “Hairy Harvest” campaign.

Phillips wanted to let fans know a fun fact that their discarded hair can also be used as fertiliser for growing their own fruit and veg. Talking about the collab, Pete said: “It’s been a lot of fun working with Philips OneBlade on their ‘Hairy Harvest’ pop-up and makes perfect sense given how much pride I put into my hair and beard. I hadn’t heard of using body hair as fertiliser until we did the event, but now I think everybody should give it a try.”

To promote Phillips’ pop-up event, Pete and Sam got stuck in with grooming one another with the company’s products – leaving a lot of trust in one another’s hands. Pete said: “Well as you know, as annoying as he is, Sam is my best mate, so we already spend a lot of time together, but I know that he has always got my back.

“He feels like a brother, so I was a bit nervous he would get carried away and give me a weird ‘tache or something – he will probably stitch me up royally by editing it in later.”

But would he let his bestie have a go trimming his entire body? Pete revealed: “Sam would be absolutely buzzing if I allowed this, but if I let him do something like that, he would end up making me look ridiculous and would never let me forget it.”

Pete also let us know that the duo were able to come away from the day unscathed. He added: “Fortunately, by some miracle, no accidents occurred when we were grooming each other, probably because the Philips OneBlade 360 is so easy and effortlessly trims, edges and shaves any length of hair – even in the nether regions.”

Fiona Atkins, Male Grooming Lead at Philps said: “It’s no secret that the cost of food shopping keeps rising and more and more people are looking at how they can start growing their own produce at home. So, we wanted to highlight the little-known fact that body hair is the perfect nutrient-rich DIY fertiliser to help Brits in their gardening endeavours.

“As our Philips OneBlade 360 allows you to trim, edge or shave any length of hair more effortlessly than ever, we wanted to empower the nation to stop letting their discarded hairs go down the drain and put them to good use by bringing our findings to life with our fun, free pop-up for anyone curious about starting their very own hairy harvest in their back garden.”
