X Factor star quits music for new career after ‘consistently sinning’ and ‘darkness’

Former X Factor star Talia Dean seems to have done a complete lifestyle U-turn as she’s found her “way back to Christ”.

The singer appeared on the popular ITV show back in 2017. Making all the way to Nicole Scherzinger’s Over 28s group, Talia returned to the show as a Wild Card.

The now 39-year-old came 15th place in the competition. Meanwhile, Simon Cowell’s group Rak-Su went on to be crowned the winners that year.

In a post on Catholic Talent Agency’s Instagram, it said: “Introducing Talia: ‘It took a long time for me to find my way back to Christ after many years of being on the wrong path, consistently sinning and rebelling. I had found my way into the darkness for many years without realising I was even there…

“Music has always been a big passion. I have written songs for other artists and movies. I have been most consistently working with Queen Legend, Sir Brian May..

“I am now solidly working on my next music single – A collaboration with Sir Brian May which will be released in July.

She continued: “To follow, I have started working on empowering music of Christian values, as I’ve decided to put my energy and passion into writing a Christian album. I now lead worship and take on many amazing projects in the name of Jesus – It fills my heart with light and love to spread the work of the Lord.”

In 2017, reports claimed Sir Brian helped Talia get herself out of debt as she found herself in financial strain. An insider said: “Brian really took Talia under his wing. He would offer her advice about the music industry. Talia couldn’t believe a superstar like him was giving her some much of his time.

“When she told him she couldn’t pay the studio fees she could not believe it when he wrote a cheque to clear the debt. She owes a lot to Brian.”
