Corrie Kit’s next target ‘revealed’ – as fans warn soap icon to ‘watch his back’

Coronation Street fans believe they’ve figured out who Kit Green’s next target will be.

The police officer, played by Jacob Roberts, arrived in Weatherfield as Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son earlier this year. Bernie had given up Christopher ‘Kit’ Green for adoption nearly three decades ago.

She managed to find him a few months back, but Kit wanted nothing to do with her or her family. Meanwhile, Bernie’s twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) were oblivious to the fact they had another sibling.

Moreover, Kit was instrumental in getting Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) jailed for the murder of Lauren Bolton. Fans will remember that the troubled young girl disappeared earlier this year and is believed to be dead.

Kit has caused plenty of drama

However, in a shocking turn of events, Kit planted Lauren’s DNA in Nathan’s van, framing him for her murder. In truth, viewers discovered that Lauren was actually killed by lawyer Joel Deering (Calum Lill), reports the Express.

But things took an unexpected turn on Monday night when Lauren Bolton, who is thought to be dead, appeared at Roy Cropper’s hospital bedside after his heart attack.

Last week on the soap, Bernie was heartbroken when Kit went behind her back to reveal to the twins that he was their brother. Gemma and Paul were shocked by the news, and when Bernie showed up at their flat, she was appalled to find them all together.

Corrie viewers reckon Kit’s out for revenge and it’s Dev who should be quaking in his boots. The copper’s been stirring the pot, leaving Bernie’s kids Gemma and Paul at odds with their mum, and now he’s got his sights set on Dev.

Fans reckon Dev is messing with the wrong person

Monday’s episode (July 8) saw Kit playing the grieving son after his adoptive mum’s funeral, which had Gemma and Paul scraping together some cash for a floral tribute. But when Dev nudged Bernie to follow suit, Kit wasn’t happy, leaving fans to speculate that he might just take his vendetta to the next level.

On X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, one user posted: “Dev vs Kit.” Another chimed in with a warning: “Dev really needs to watch his back here, as a cop, Kit could dig up, find or plant anything on Dev to get even with Bernie – he’s already turned the twins against her.” And another fan added to the chorus of concern: “Dev is pushing his luck with KIt/Zodiac – I think he’s got a very nasty side..”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
