Liam Gallagher spent dole cash on Greggs, weed and one other item before Oasis fame

Liam Gallagher is set to make mind-blowing profits from the Oasis reunion tour – but not all his fans are pleased.

That’s because the band has been slammed for ‘rip off’ surge pricing that saw the cost of tickets suddenly jump up by hundreds of pounds.

The dynamic pricing scheme – rejected by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran – will see the brothers pocket even more dough from their gigs.

But being paid millions to perform live is a far cry from how a young Liam Gallagher lived his life before fame and fortune.

He grew up in a council house in Burnage, Manchester, alongside his two older brothers before dedicating his adolescence to music.

And in the Supersonic documentary, the rock star revealed how he used to spend his dole money.

He said: “All my life existed then was going to sign on, get me cash, cashing me dole, going to Sifters (Manchester based music shop), getting a record, buying some weed, going to Greggs, going back home and f***ing blasting it out and getting soaked in it.

The most popular Oasis-style Greggs orders (according to the Daily Star)

  • Steak-a-Baka
  • Donut Look Back In Anger
  • Champagne Sausagenova
  • Let There Be Latte
  • Live For-Egg mayo sandwich
  • Waiting for the [Chicken] Wrapture
  • Sausage Dole
  • Eggs and Soldier On
  • Don’t Look Steak Bake in Anger
  • Supsersausge

“I was just obsessed with being in a band, ob-f***ing sessed man.”

Ironically, Liam was not always enamoured by music and only became interested in it from the age of 16.

He described his brother Noel as a “bit of a stoner and a loner” with a guitar and said: “Anyone with a guitar or in a band I thought was a bit suspect, do you know what I mean, and I would hurl abuse at them.”

Bizarrely, his perception of music changed when he was hit on the head with a hammer by a student from a rival school.

Recalling the bonkers story of how he discovered his passion, Liam said: “We were stood there having a cig and I remember a load of lads coming down and these kids pulled out a little f***ing hammer and went whack on me head.

“There’s blood everywhere, got out of double maths, so that was alright.”

He added: “From that day on it was as if something clicked and I started hearing music and it started making sense do you know what I mean? So whoever he is, thank you.”

Noel later joked that he had an alibi for the time of the attack…

Despite coming from humble beginnings, Liam and his brother are now being criticised after the cost of Oasis tickets surged on the morning of their release.

One person wrote on X: “Naively, I thought Liam and Noel would have said no to the option of dynamic pricing. They are making a fortune out of the reunion and didn’t need to alienate fans by hiking prices at the last minute.”

Thousands also signed a petition calling for dynamic pricing (where prices can suddenly soar based on demand) to be outlawed.
