Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri falls to floor during first week of Strictly rehearsals

Tasha Ghouri collapsed to the floor during her first week of Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals.

The Love Island beauty has swapped out her bikini for her the glamorous ballroom outfits as she prepares for the first live show this weekend. She will be competing against 14 other famous faces to take home the coveted Glitterball trophy with her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

And it appears as though the Slovenian dancer is not going easy on her. Taking to TikTok, the blonde bombshell, 26, shared a cheeky video where she pretended to collapse from exhaustion, reports the Mirror.

She cheekily captioned the video “when in rehearsals” followed by a bunch of cry-laughing emojis, before getting real with her followers, adding: “But on a serious note, I’m loving it.”

The influencer, who made history as Love Island’s first deaf contestant, was revealed last month as part of the star-studded Strictly line-up for 2024. Now, she’s set to tackle her latest adventure on the dance floor, following in the trailblazing footsteps of EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis.

Rose, who also has hearing loss, became Strictly’s first deaf competitor and waltzed away with the glitter ball trophy alongside Giovanni Pernice in 2021. Joining Fake Bake and Press Box PR at the National Television Awards, she gushed about the upcoming show.

Tasha excitedly revealed: “It’s a privilege. Rose opened up the door for all of us. She was the first person I really looked up to on TV.

“She’s the first person that elevated the deaf community. What’s fantastic is that we’ve really got different experiences with our deafness and what we can bring to the table.”

Discussing her Strictly Come Dancing training, Tasha added: “It’s exactly the same for me as Rose, I feel the music, base and the beats. With the counts, that’s where I’m struggling a little bit.

“What I’m used to is five, six, seven, eight. But the counts are off with the music, so I feel like I’m not in time. I’m having to feel the music and play the sounds in my head. It’s a weird way but that’s how my brain works.”

When chatting about mastering various dance styles, she pointed out: “All dance styles are hard because they’re so disciplined. For me, Latin is the hardest because it’s so fast.

“You have to move your feet quickly and I’m trying to keep up, which is tough.” She concluded by expressing how rewarding the experience is despite the hurdles.

Tasha concluded: “It’s super fun but a challenge. The training, trying to push through, it’s hard sometimes. It’s knowing your body and where you are physically and mentally.

“The opportunity only happens once, so I’m trying to make the most out of it.”
