What to binge-watch if you loved How to Die Alone before the next episodes drop

The new series How to Die Alone has been stealing hearts since its first four instalments hit Disney Plus last Friday (September 13), crafted by the one and only Natasha Rothwell of The White Lotus and Insecure fame. Centred on a JFK airport worker, 30-something Melissa gets a harsh wake-up call from a near-death experience, which propels her to seize life and love with newfound verve.

Fans can’t get enough of it, with virtual buzz spilling over from X, formerly Twitter: “How to Die Alone is so authentic! Relatable! Funny! It’s truly BRILLIANT!”

With another four episodes scheduled to light up Disney Plus in the forthcoming fortnight, here’s a swift list of three gotta-watch slice-of-life series to temper your appetite until the show’s next release.

The BBC couldn’t resist and has confirmed a second season is on the horizon, reports the Mirror. Season 1 of Daddy Issues is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
