Ruby Allen is set to cause a stir on Albert Square as Louisa Lytton returns to the role.
EastEnders fans will remember when Ruby last graced Walford back in September 2021, claiming she was carrying Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) baby even though Martin discovered Ruby had been telling lies, leading to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) being wrongly banged up.
While Martin was certain Ruby wasn’t telling the truth about her baby bump, viewers got a glimpse of the truth with Ruby’s positive pregnancy test as she was carted off in a police car, courtesy of a stitch-up over the Slater cannabis farm by none other than Stacey’s mum Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).

Ruby’s comeback looks set to toss Martin and Stacey’s world into mayhem once again. Louisa dished the dirt at the National TV Awards last month, stirring the pot with a hint: “We’re going to be seeing where she’s been for the past three years. In ‘true’ EastEnders form, there’s lots of drama but it’s good to be back.”
Louisa’s already on set, rolling the cameras for her dramatic return set to hit screens later this year. A familiar face since 2005 as crime lord Johnny Allen’s (Billy Murray) daughter, Louisa’s keen on a miraculous comeback for her on-screen dad too, reports the Manchester Evening News.

EastEnders chiefs have spilled the beans that a host of legendary characters are set to make a comeback over the next few months as the soap gears up for its 40th anniversary bash in February 2025, with Louisa admitting she’d “love” to see Johnny Allen strut back into Albert Square.
Soap legends like David Wicks (played by Michael French), Bianca Jackson (the iconic Patsy Palmer) and Chrissie Watts (portrayed by Tracy Ann Oberman) have already made their dramatic returns recently, and top dog executive producer Chris Clenshaw has teased that even more familiar faces might be popping up in Walford soon.
