Oasis reunion support acts ‘confirmed’ for Liam and Noel Gallagher’s 2025 tour

Oasis have “announced” their support acts for the 2025 tour.

Turning 52 this year, Liam gave his fans a bit of a teaser during a Q&A sesh on X/Twitter. Rumours are flying after a scoop from The Independent claimed that ’90s icons Richard Ashcroft from The Verve, along with indie legends Cast, are going to be razzing up the audience.

On October 4, Liam hit social media, dropping the bomb in front of his massive 3.8 million followers: “Just spoke to the CHEF here it is OASIS RICHARD ASHCROFT CAST you are welcome see you nxt year I’m of to to identify as a massive c**t LG x.” Oasis diehards are clued up that Noel, 57, was the main man in the kitchen dubbed ‘the Chef’ during the Britpop titans’ glory years.

In a cheeky follow-up post, Liam quipped: “Cast the 1 n only Richard Ashcroft and us s**t c***s that’s worth 98 grands worth of any bumblebees not so hard earned cash.”, reports the Mirror. He then teased fans further with: “Only kidding we never set sail without the 1 and only RICARDO he’s our boy from day DOT come aboard Rkid.”

Way back when, Oasis and Richard Ashcroft shared the stage with the Mancunian brothers opening for The Verve in 1993, a time when Ashcroft apparently left such an imprint that he scored himself a spot in Oasis lore with the ’95 track Cast No Shadow. Fast forward and The Verve had their moment warming up the crowd for Oasis during their massive gig at London’s Earls Court in 1997.

Meanwhile, rockers Cast got to strum alongside Oasis at the legendary Knebworth gigs in ’96. While a bunch of fans were left sobbing into their bucket hats after missing out on tickets to the supposed reunion, The Mirror has dished out that behind closed doors Liam and Noel have sneakily slapped in the legals to lock down the trademarks for a “virtual music group” and some snazzy “avatars”, thinking along the lines of ABBA Voyage.

Noel Gallagher, the former Oasis frontman, earlier declared he’d be totally up for it, saying he’d be “bang up” for an Oasis virtual comeback after attending ABBA’s high-tech show. The ABBA Voyage event, featuring digital versions of iconic Swedes Bjorn, Agnetha, Frida and Benny belting out hits like Dancing Queen and Waterloo, clearly made an impression in 2022.
