Strictly stars fear they’re being haunted a ghost as they gear up Halloween show

Strictly stars fear the show is being targeted by ghosts in the lead up to their Halloween performance.

Shayne Ward, 40, and his pro dancer Nancy Xu, 33, have heard eerie sounds during training sessions for Saturday’s Halloween show. It’s been so terrifying they are now convinced the set at Elstree Studios, Herts, is haunted. Nancy told the Daily Star: “On Monday, I heard a weird noise that was like, ‘Wooo!’. I don’t want to think about strange things or I won’t sleep.”

Shayne added: “Nancy thought I was pranking her and that it was coming from me. But it wasn’t me, I was outside talking to someone. Then when I went back in the room Nancy heard it again.”

Nancy is now petrified that something paranormal is happening in the run up to Halloween. She said: “I try to avoid anything spooky. I like Halloween for the food, but not for spooky things.”

There have been rumours the set is haunted for years. Shayne is so scared he doesn’t like to be left alone there at night.

He said: “The thing about a TV studio, there has got to be some sort of ghost. You don’t want to be there when the lights go off, that’s for sure. I think pretty much everyone on Strictly believes in ghosts.”

The Halloween special kicks off tomorrow at 6.25pm on BBC One.

The Daily Star reported Strictly Come Dancing star Punam Krishan has been dealt some bad news ahead of Saturday’s live show.

The 41-year-old TV medic has been tipped as the 2/1 favourite to be the next star eliminated from the BBC show on Saturday (October 26). The bookies at Coral reckon she’s next to get the boot, ahead of TOWIE star Pete Wicks, who is 7/2 and Olympian Sam Quek at 9/2.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Punam Krishan is under the most pressure for a big performance this weekend, according to our betting. She is the favourite in the elimination market ahead of Pete Wicks and Sam Quek respectively.”

Behind Sam sits singer Shayne Ward with 11/2 odds of getting axed and Olympian Montell Douglas on 7/1. Blind comedian Chris McCausland is a 2/5 favourite to win the show, followed by Love Island star Tasha Ghouri. Read the full story here.
