RHOP’s Ashley Darby says stars ‘don’t last long’ if they fail to follow one key mantra

Ashley Darby has said The Real Housewives of Potomac cast members “don’t last very long” if they fail to stick by a mantra the ladies follow.

The mum-of-two and her co-stars were given the shocking news that one of their leading ladies, Karen Huger, had been involved in an accident in the season nine premiere. Karen was subsequently charged with negligent driving, endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle.

Season Nine has shown the ladies dealing with the aftermath – supporting Karen while also holding her accountable for the accident. The court side is still ongoing.

She said: “I think it’s important to remember that we’re all women, and a lot of us are mothers, and something that we always try to focus on is family is important to us, who we are as people is important to us.

“Yes, there will be issues, there will be drama, but there’s just a certain code of ethics that we operate by, We all seem to do that for the most part.

“And those who don’t, they don’t last very long.”

Speaking of Karen, Ashley said: “It was really challenging to address it, because obviously we really care about Karen. But Karen is just very evasive about the whole situation.

“Unfortunately, if you don’t tell the story, other people will tell it for you. So I just wish that we had more facts, and hopefully she gets more comfortable sharing about it.

“But we were all really shaken up by it, to see her car and to see what happened. Karen was actually really hurt, like she was physically hurt, so it was impactful for all of us.”
