Former Coronation Street hunk lands ‘dream role’ in Hollywood in Gladiator sequel

Former Coronation Street hunk Dean Fagan has a starring role in the Gladiator sequel. The actor plays prisoner Dorso in the big-budget flick.

It’s the biggest project he’s worked on since starting his acting career in 2006.

The actor said: “Never thought I would have the opportunity to work on a sequel to one of the greatest films ever made.”

Reflecting on the experience, he added: “It was every bit as good as I imagined it to be. A wild ride and a dream come true.”

Dean appears throughout the film, including many scenes with leading man Paul Mescal, who plays Lucius Verus.

He added: “The wonderfully talented cast, stunts and crew who work unbelievably hard to bring these films to life, it was a privilege to meet and work alongside you.”

Dean, who played mechanic Luke Britton on Corrie for four years, is now likely to be famous around the world.

The lad is the latest soap star to make it big in Hollywood.

In the past Hollyoaks actress Nathalie Emmanuel has starred in action franchise The Fast and The Furious and EastEnders star Ben Hardy appeared in an X-Men flick.

Gladiator II, which also stars Little Britain funnyman Matt Lucas and The Last Of Us actor Pedro Pascal, is released at cinemas today.
