EastEnders Phil Mitchell’s ‘exit sealed’ after 35 years as fans make desperate plea

EastEnders fans are urging iconic Mitchell family members to return to Walford as Phil isolates himself from family and friends.

Last week, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) sold his beloved Peggy’s nightclub to Walford newcomer Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) – the estranged wife of his cousin Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian).

The news of the club’s sale hasn’t left Teddy impressed as he bumped into Phil during Monday’s episode of the BBC soap and wasted no time in asking about his decision.

“Happy, selling Peggy’s behind my back”, Teddy asked Phil who simply replied: “My business, I do what I want.”

Teddy then asked: “What happened to family loyalty?” as Phil stayed silent and looked him dead in eyes.

The tense moment came after Phil had already permitted his ex-wife Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) to go on a date with Teddy while his other ex-wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) moves on with former flame Alfie Moon (Shane Richie).

As Phil appears to be unhappy and isolated from his family, EastEnders fans have been left fearing the iconic hardman will be killed off at Christmas.

Taking to X, one person wrote: “KILL PHIL OFF EASTENDERS YOU WILL BE DONE #EastEnders.”

A second stated: “Phil Mitchell sad and suicidal at Christmas…”, while a third chimed in: “#Eastenders I will be leathered by the time your Xmas day episode starts, and if I bare witness to Phil Mitchell committing suicide so help me God.”

“I have noticed in this week that’s just gone Phil hasn’t been his usual self. #EastEnders”, pointed put one fan.

“I need these 4 to come back and save Phil #EastEnders”, added another followed by a photo of Louise, Sam, Grant and Ben Mitchell.”

EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and iPlayer
