Wes Nelson wows fans as he shows off epic weight loss transformation snaps

EXCLUSIVE: Love Island star turned singer Wes Nelson has opened up about the inspiration behind his fitness transformation and one of his most embarrassing stage blunders

Wes Nelson has shared the results of his epic weight loss transformation.

The Love Island star-turned-singer spoke exclusively to the Daily Star as he talked about what spurred him to shape up. The hunk said: “I got to the stage where I wanted to feel healthier, more energised and comfortable in my own skin.

“I wanted to push myself further and see what I could achieve with discipline and hard work. I ended up losing a fair amount, roughly around 12kg. The feedback from fans has been amazing, which motivates me to keep going.”

Wes has also been working with Birds Eye as he geared up for his UK and Ireland tour. The star headlined the exclusive opening night of Birds Eye’s Chicken Shop pop-up last month.

Wes looks incredible

He also praised the brand for helping him with his cravings, he said: “I stayed consistent with my workouts and cleaned up my diet, but I’m all about balance too—late-night cravings are real, and Birds Eye’s Chicken Shop range has been a lifesaver for those post-gym refuels.”

Wes also opened up about embarrassing on-stage moments and shared a red-faced encounter with us. He told us: “Well, one of my first live performances was actually at the Paralympic homecoming at Wembley Arena in 2021.

He put on a stellar performance

“I was performing my song with Clean Bandit, Drive, in front of a packed crowd of fans and Paralympians and it was being broadcast on Channel 4. Once I started performing the track, I realised my in-ear monitors weren’t on, so I couldn’t hear the music at all to sing to. Luckily, the crowd were clapping along, so I managed to stay on beat, but it was terrifying!”

Wes first shot to fame on series four of Love Island, which aired in 2018, however, he doesn’t have any more TV plans in the diary just yet. He shared: “At the moment, my focus is fully on my music and my single Yellow which I’m hoping to release before the end of the year.

“TV has been a big part of my journey, and I love new experiences, so who knows what the future holds! I’ve actually got a couple of ideas for shows of my own, but right now music is my primary focus.”
