A star from Dancing on Ice has been forced to pull out from the show, leaving someone partnerless following a brutal back injury.
Charlie Brooks, EastEnders actor has been left alone in the competition after her partner, professional dancer Eric Radford had to pull out due to an injury to his back, according to the Sun. The couple were just days away from performing their latest routine and taking to the ice for another dance.
Speaking about the shock injury, Charlie told the Sun: “Eric had an injury in his back and then his quad wasn’t firing properly so he’s having to have an MRI and has been told he has to have this week off the ice, which is so gutting.

“It’s such a shame, he’s my number one and I will be lost without him. But I’m trying to flip it and think that it will be exciting to be able to skate with someone else, and Brendyn is wicked so it will be nice to get to know him a little bit.”
Brendyn Hatfield has taken over Eric’s role and has been working hard with Charlie behind the scenes to get her up to speed. The two will skate out on the ice together on ITV at 6.00 on Saturday.
This incident took place just one week after the show lost another star. Just hours before last week’s live show, professional skater Vanessa Bauer, who was dancing with Love Island star Chris Taylor, has withdrawn due to multiple injuries.
Before that, celeb Josh Jones had to pull out after a serious injury in rehearsals. With three stars already out of the show, celebrities are sure to be taking rehearsals easy.
A gutted Vanessa previously took to Instagram to announce she had suffered a torn ligament after an accident in rehearsals. In a video, she said: “I’m here today with rather upsetting news. I am unfortunately not going to be able to continue on Dancing on Ice with Chris.

“That’s really upsetting for me. I have trained Chris since October last year and it is always such an amazing achievement for myself to see someone else progress so much in a skill they’ve never done before.
“So it’s been really rewarding for me to watch this whole journey for Chris [and] the way he’s got better week since October and also since the live shows started.”
Vanessa explained she hadn’t realised how bad her injuries were but now has no choice but to leave the competition after an MRI scan revealed multiple injuries. She went on: “I unfortunately had a little accident backstage last week on Dancing on Ice just before the live show on Sunday.
“And I didn’t realise how bad it was then, but we did an MRI and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury. I shouldn’t be skating on an injury like that and so I’m taking all of the advice from the medical professionals here, I am in very good hands.”
