Gino D’Acampo joked about ‘playing around’ with Holly Willoughby in raunchy quip

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo has been accused of inappropriate behaviour by dozens of people who have worked with him, with one clip of him making a shocking comment about Holly Willoughby re-emerging

Gino D’Acampo’s raunchy joke about Holly Willoughby has resurfaced.

The telly chef is facing accusations of “distressing” and “sexually inappropriate” behaviour following claims spanning over 12 years, as reported by ITV News – Holly has not stepped forward to make any claims. Gino has “firmly denied” the allegations, stated he is “deeply upset” and was “never made aware of these matters previously”.

A clip from This Morning featuring Gino alongside Holly and Phillip Schofield from November 2021 has resurfaced and in a bold move during a cooking segment, Gino used Holly’s body as a map to discuss Italian geography. Pointing at her shoulder, he remarked: “In the Belmonte region here is where the Savoiardi biscuit comes from.”

He then gestured towards her chest saying: “On the other side is Treviso – so Treviso is where Ado came from so it could be very…” Phil jumped in with a joke: “I’m really concerned if he’s going to talk about Sicily.”

This lead Gino to quip: “No, Sicily’s all the way down there!” Gino kept up the banter, referring to Holly as he continued: “But your belly button – I was born in Naples which is on your side but I went to school where the Vesuvius is.”

The chef quipped: “So, it’s more inland, so… er, I can technically say that I spent my youth training and playing around your vagina,” reports the Mirror.

Holly was visibly taken aback as she gasped: “Oh my God! ” Even Phil couldn’t hide his shock at Gino’s bold statement. Yet Gino stood by his words, adding: “There is nothing wrong with that. It is just a word that everybody knows and that’s what I have been doing geographically.”

In anticipation of the backlash, Phil faced the camera proclaiming: “Morning Ofcom,” seemingly forecasting a flood of complaints to come. Holly then advised Gino perhaps geography wasn’t his forte. The comment did ruffle feathers among viewers with one tweeting: “Gino you’re going over the mark #thismorning.”
