My Chemical Romance drummer’s dead body ‘found next to nitrous oxide canisters’

My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar was reportedly found dead with nitrous oxide canisters next to his body.

The rocker sadly died at the age of just 44 last year. He was sadly discovered dead at his Tennessee home in November. He was last seen alive on November 4, over three weeks before he was discovered.

Cops didn’t suspect any foul play in relation to his death. His body was discovered by Animal Control, who had attended the property to remove two dogs but instead came across the drummer’s lifeless body.

It’s now been reported Bryar’s body was found next to three large nitrous oxide canisters. According to his autopsy, obtained by TMZ, Bryar’s body was decomposed andthe three canisters were equipped with tubing, meaning they were ready for use.

The Bedford County Medical Examiner in Tennessee reportedly said an exact cause of death is impossible to be determined as the body was so decomposed. The official report noted it as “best classified as undetermined.”

At the time his body was discovered, police said no foul play was suspected. According to TMZ, this is because Bryar’s possessions, such as his musical equipment and weapons inside of his home, were untouched.

Bryar’s My Chemical Romance band members paid tribute to him on social media following his tragic death. In a statement on Instagram, they wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Bob Bryar, our former bandmate and an important part of the history of My Chemical Romance. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family at this time. May he rest in peace.”

Bob joined My Chemical Romance in 2004 when he replaced the iconic band’s original drummer, Matt Pelissier. He became part of the line-up after My Chemical Romance released their second album, titled Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, which included the band’s hit single I’m Not Okay (I Promise).

He was forced to step back from the group while touring with them in 2007 due to a wrist injury which affected his ability to drum, but he continued to work with the group behind the scenes, helping with pyrotechnics and special effects. He left the group in March 2010 after working on music for their fourth album.

Bob went on to work in real estate while also continuing to take a role in the music industry by working behind-the-scenes on tours – before officially retiring from music in 2021.
