Glastonbury Festival has confirmed its 2025 line-up, with huge names set to headline.
On the Friday, The 1975 will headline. They’ll be followed by Neil Young And The Chrome Hearts on the Saturday, and Olivia Rodrigo on the Sunday.
Hours earlier, a poster for the festival appeared to leak. And the headliners all match, including Sir Rod Stewart, who will also play on Sunday.
However Sir Rod is no surprise to fans, as he confirmed he’d be playing the Legends slot months ago. Fans knew of Neil Young’s slot on the line-up too, after he revealed he had pulled-out of the festival, before going back on himself claiming to have had “false info”.

The Friday at Worthy Farm has a varied line-up, which is sure to please a lot of fans. Loyle Carner, Biffy Clyro, Alanis Morissette, Busta Rhymes, Maribou State, Gracie Abrams, Four Tet and Wet Leg are also on the billing.
Other highlights for the first official night of music include Fatboy Slim, En Vogue, Franz Ferdinand, Pinkpantheress and Self Esteem.
The party turns up a notch on the Saturday, with Brit superstars Charli XCX and Raye will perform. Hot-shot rapper Doechii will also appear.

Give Glasto a go
By Sam Huntley
People seem to be forgetting that this is only the first line-up poster – many more acts are to be announced.
Rock fans are well served this year with The 1975, Biffy Clyro, Weezer, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Deftones and newcomers Wunderhorse.
Pop lovers have some big names too, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Gracie Abrams, Raye and Lola Young for instance.
But considering the festival is having a year off in 2026, people were perhaps expecting more star power (Spice Girls reunion you say?) but this could still be in the works…
They’re joined on the line-up by the likes of Deftones, Ezra Collective, Jade [Thirlwall], Kaiser Chiefs, The Script and Scissor Sisters.
While the line-up certainly has someone for everyone, some are fuming. “Glastonbury being the greatest festival in the world has nothing to do with the headliners… but this is pretty poor,” one disgruntled fan said on X.
Another said: “Absolutely mental that The 1975 are headliners, just an awful band. Either Alanis Morissette or Busta Rhymes would have been much better as headliners. Like genuinely what are we doing.”

Someone else raged: “F****** hell, that Glasto line-up is absolutely w***. Yikes.” As another added: “This could be the worst Glasto line-up I’ve seen?” And someone else wrote: “That Glastonbury line-up is probably the worst one ever? Feel bad for anyone that wants to go, dodged a f****** bullet there.”
Meanwhile, others disagreed, with one saying: “Best overall Glasto line-up in years so far. That’s how to balance artists both old and new.” Another said: “Good variation of bands on the line-up,” though added: “Not familiar with a couple of the headliners myself.”
Someone else said: “I was not expecting the Glastonbury line-up to be that good, I’m actually gonna die of FOMO.” While another added: “Glastonbury line-up so good.”

Last year saw Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA headline the Pyramid Stage across the weekend. Shania Twain landed the Sunday Legends slot.
The festival will take a break next year in order to allow the farmland on which it takes place to recover. Fallow years are usually around every five years, however the Covid pandemic saw the festival axed in 2020 and 2021.
It returned in 2022 with Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar as headliners. Then the next year, Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John were at the top of the billing.
