In the first episode of their reality show that premiered on Tuesday, 1st April, Joe, 43, opened up about the trials of parenting. The former EastEnders star, who has 17 year old son Harry from his previous relationship with Emma Sophocleous and shares Rex, 5, Rosie, 3, and Belle, 1, with Stacey, revealed that his main “battle” each day is juggling his time between work and family duties.

He said: “Honestly, the biggest battle in my life is timekeeping. Whether I’ve got to get the kids to school on time, pick them up on time, get dinner on time, get to bed on time, get to work on time, I am always one step behind time.”

Throughout the show, Joe and Stacey had some deep chats on camera, laying bare their relationship, squabbles and family dynamics.

Painting a picture of their domestic chaos, Joe added: “We’re like two swans floating down the river, we look all elegant and lovely on top but underneath we are kicking like mad!”

Stacey, the busy mum to Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships, has made a frank admission: “We are barely afloat!” The beloved couple also revealed their unique approach to resolving spats and their differing views on parenting and discipline.

Stacey spilled the beans that she “doesn’t have time” for drawn-out rows, while Joe admitted he tends to stew over disagreements, especially when feeling “hard done by”.

“We don’t resolve arguments,” Stacey blurted out. “I don’t have enough time to carry on an argument. So, it’s like we’ve said our piece, done. I’ve got a million other things to do.”
